tel aviv - Israeli officials are making significant efforts to secure the release of hostages held in Gaza, offering millions for their release.

High security officials have warned Prime Minister Netanyahu about the condition of the hostages and urged for a quick resolution. The new proposal includes a reward of $5 million for each released hostage and safe passage for the captors out of Gaza. Currently, 97 out of the 251 kidnapped individuals remain in captivity. Despite previous unsuccessful attempts, Netanyahu remains determined to bring everyone home.

The Israeli public is divided on the issue, with a majority believing in the necessity of a compromise for the hostages' release. However, political considerations may hinder Netanyahu's willingness to make a deal.

While efforts for negotiation are underway, uncertainties remain about Hamas' ability to cooperate due to internal leadership challenges. International involvement, including Qatar and Turkey, adds another layer of complexity to the situation.
