washington - The American president Donald Trump has taken the anger of African countries, Haiti and El Salvador, for example, because he used the words 'shithole countries' during a discussion on immigration. Haiti and Botswana have summoned the highest American diplomat in their country and asked for clarification.
Paul Altidor, the Haitian ambassador in Washington, said it was poignant that Friday so much attention was paid to the comments that Trump would have made about a number of countries. Altidor said that the earthquake should actually be considered exactly eight years ago in Haiti. It claimed about 220,000 lives. Altidor thinks Trump has to apologize.
The government of Botswana called the statements that Trump would have made 'irresponsible and racist. 'El Salvador has formally filed a protest. Earlier this week, the US government reported that it wants to withdraw the temporary residence permit of 200,000 immigrants from El Salvador.
