Inter Miami Trades Forward Robert Taylor to Austin FC

Inter Miami CF has completed a trade deal with Austin FC, sending forward Robert Taylor in exchange for $750,000 in general allocation money. Taylor, a 30-year-old Finland-born attacker, has been a key player for Miami since joining from Norwegian club Brann in 2022.

Background and Impact

Taylor, who has made 91 appearances and scored 13 goals for Miami, will now join Austin FC, currently performing well in the Western Conference. Miami, on the other hand, is preparing for a crucial matchup in the Concacaf Champions Cup and maintaining a strong position in the MLS league standings.

Statements from Miami Players and Coach

Javier Mascherano, the head coach of Miami, commented on the trade, stating that it was a decision made in the best interest of the club. He expressed gratitude towards Taylor and wished him success in his new venture. Taylor's teammate, Fafa Picault, also shared his thoughts, acknowledging the bittersweet nature of seeing a teammate leave but extending well wishes for Taylor's future.
