Intended Prime Minister Catalonia is not allowed to cell

madrid - The prospective candidate for the premiership of the Spanish region of Catalonia, who is currently detained, is not allowed to leave his cell to attend the vote in parliament. It is Jordi Sánchez who was put forward as the replacement by the poignant leader Carles Puigdemont last month.

The Spanish Supreme Court declared Friday that Sánchez will not be allowed to leave his cell. The politician is stuck in anticipation of his trial because of his involvement in the unlawful exclamation of the independence of Catalonia last year.

The Catalan parliament is expected to vote on a new government leader on Monday.
