wagah - The Indian air force pilot who was brought down over the Pakistani region of Kashmir on Wednesday, Abhinandan Varthaman, was transferred to the Indian authorities at the Wagah border post.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the Air Force Officer and said, according to local media, that all people in India are proud of him. Modi also said that he 'bows for every Indian, because everyone supports the armed forces. 'The pilot was shot on Wednesday during an air fight with Pakistani F-16s. They wanted to carry out a retaliatory attack, after Indian aircraft had fired a camp of extremists in Pakistani territory on Tuesday.
