The Indian army reported a peaceful night in Kashmir and other areas along the international border following the ceasefire agreement.

Ceasefire Agreement and Tensions

India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire after four days of intense shelling, resulting in at least sixty deaths and thousands displaced. Tensions between the nuclear-armed nations had not been this high since the 1999 conflict.

Following the unexpected ceasefire announcement by US President Donald Trump, both sides accused each other of violations.
