India: British crown jewel not reclaim

World April 18, 2016 13:14

- India should not try to reclaim the crown jewel famous Kohinoor from Britain. The diamond is not stolen or taken by force, the Indian government proposed Monday in the Supreme Court.

The court warned that the position may be difficult to make legal action in the future.

The Supreme Court considered Monday a petition of an organization that wants to have the diamond of 105 carats and other famous objects of Britain. The Kohinoordiamant was given to the East India Company in 1846 by the then ruler of Punjab, suggested a representative of the Ministry of Culture.

The diamond is put in the crown of Queen Victoria (1819-1901) and can be seen in the Tower of London.

British Prime Minister David Cameron said in 2013 that the diamond is not returned.,, I am sorry that I have to disappoint your viewers, but he stays where he is, '' he said in an interview with NDTV.
