manchester - Manchester City's Ilkay Gündogan reveals his intention to remain at the club for the upcoming season despite interest from other clubs. City also looks to strengthen the squad with potential transfer deals.

Ilkay Gündogan to Remain at Manchester City

Midfielder Ilkay Gündogan has expressed his desire to continue playing for Manchester City in the upcoming season, following the extension of his contract.

Strengthening the Squad

Manchester City is reportedly in advanced negotiations for AC Milan's Tijjani Reijnders and eyeing a move for Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest. Additionally, the club is seeking a replacement for Kyle Walker at right-back.

Manager Pep Guardiola emphasized the importance of maintaining squad stability while making targeted improvements where necessary.

Guardiola stated, "We have players under contract who want to stay here, and I don't want a lot of players. New faces will come in positions where we are weaker, but I don't foresee a major overhaul."

While City is expected to make some strategic signings, Guardiola believes that the existing squad's quality is strong and does not anticipate significant changes.
