IAEA: Iran is adhering to a nuclear deal

World August 30, 2018 15:16

vienna - Iran still sticks to the most important agreements from the atomic agreement. This appears from a confidential quarterly report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which has been viewed by press agencies.

The atomic agreement between Iran and the great powers dates back to 2015. The main goal was to prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon. The American president Donald Trump has now thrown the agreements into the trash and imposed sanctions again. The other countries that have signed the agreement are displeased.

Although the agreement is under pressure from the US government's actions, the IAEA still monitors compliance with the deal. The organization concludes that Iran no longer has low enriched uranium and heavy water in stock than is permitted. Controllers were able to carry out the necessary inspections to determine this, according to the quarterly report.
