Hugo Lloris Signs Contract Extension with LAFC

Veteran French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has agreed to extend his stay at LAFC, signing a contract that will keep him at the Major League Soccer club through the 2026 season, with a potential extension for 2027.

Key Details of the Extension

The 38-year-old Lloris, who joined LAFC in December 2023 after departing Tottenham, has been a pivotal player for the team, making 91 appearances and achieving 33 clean sheets across all competitions.

Notable Achievements

Lloris, a former captain of the French national team, led France to victory in the 2018 World Cup and a runner-up finish in 2022. He retired from international play in early 2023 after playing 145 matches for Les Bleus and registering 63 shutouts.

Upcoming Changes at LAFC

LAFC, which finished third in the Western Conference standings, is set to have a new coach for the next season following the departure of Steve Cherundolo, who opted to return to Germany in April.
