brussels - Huawei representatives banned from EU Parliament premises as corruption investigation unfolds in Belgium and Portugal.

Huawei Lobbyists Excluded from European Parliament

Representatives of Chinese tech giant Huawei are denied access to EU Parliament buildings. Belgian authorities investigate two European Parliament staff, sealing their offices. A man in France is arrested in connection with the probe.

Recent revelations by Follow the Money exposed searches in Belgium and Portugal linked to corruption inquiries. Allegations include bribing EU Parliament staff with perks like sponsored trips. Fifteen MEPs are reportedly under scrutiny, pending official confirmation.

"Huawei takes these accusations seriously and will engage with investigators promptly to gain clarity," a spokesperson told De Telegraaf. "We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and other offenses, committing to full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations."
