Hotel hires goldfish for lonely guests

charleroi - If you are lonely in a hotel and you have the need for some company, then you can offer a goldfish. At Hotel Charleroi Airport you can rent a gold for 3.50 euros a night. And that makes use of it.

Especially business travelers are happy to spend the night with a goldfish. 'They like to go to the office with the mention of a goldfish on the bill they are going to declare', explains hotel manager David Dillen to The Telegraph.

The fish were initially intended to keep hotel guests busy at check-in. They usually swim in a large aquarium at the counter, but can be placed in smaller fish bowls on request.

The hotel has received some criticism of the fish bowls, but Dillon ensures that the fish are regularly placed in the large aquarium.
