Hostage Taker 19-year-old German

- The hostage-taker at the movie theater in the German Viernheim was a nineteen-year-old German born in Mannheim. He lived in northern Germany, authorities said in Darmstadt Friday.

He had Thursday afternoon in a cinema complex in Mannheim, close to Mannheim, four employees and visitors fourteen taken hostage and threatened them. Among the hostages were children. The hostage-taker had to alarm pistols and dummiegranaten reportedly with him.

The nineteen-year-old arrived Thursday around half past three masked inside the cinema complex. He was later slain by police. All hostages were unharmed.
