great yarmouth, england - The James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth, England, has forbidden its staff from stating the gender of babies at birth and instead opts for gender-neutral language.

The management of the James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth, England, has taken a very woke approach to the times by prohibiting its staff from saying that babies are born as boys or girls.

Instead, an eight-page guide describes how the terms 'born as a woman' or 'born as a man' should be avoided. Doctors and nurses at the hospital are instructed to say 'the baby was assigned the gender woman/man at birth'.

As an example in the booklet: "At birth, Max was identified as a girl, but he underwent a transition in high school and is now a man."

The online guide was published earlier this year under the name 'Celebrating Pride'. According to the hospital, the document provides support and guidelines for creating a more diverse and inclusive atmosphere for everyone. It also 'warns' against the use of the terms 'lady' and 'gentleman'. Referring to someone as a 'fireman' is also not allowed. Additionally, the guide includes a glossary of LGBTQ+ terms, including gender-neutral pronouns and representations of nine different transgender flags.

Member of Parliament Rupert Lowe criticizes the document: "This is insane. There are two sexes at birth. Male and female - it is wrong to claim otherwise. Babies do not have their gender 'assigned', they are simply that gender. That is a fact," Lowe said to GB News. According to him, medical professionals should respect biological facts. "I am sure the vast majority do, but we urgently need to remove this woke virus from hospitals and other public institutions."

The management of the James Paget Hospital has declined to comment on this issue.

Some parents in Australia even refuse to assign a gender to their children at birth. They avoid using gender-specific pronouns and address the babies with 'they'. The genderless babies are also referred to as 'theybies'.

Critics see this growing 'woke trend' as a 'scary experiment'. According to Lise Eliot, a professor of neuroscience at the Chicago Medical School, it backfires. Children may have difficulty adapting. "Once your child is exposed to the outside world, such as daycare, preschool, or grandparents, it is almost impossible to maintain a gender-neutral state. Depending on how conventional your community is, you may expose your child to bullying or exclusion," Eliot told NBC News.
