Hollywood wakes up as Holly Weed

los angeles - Residents of the Hollywood district of Los Angeles on Sunday surprised by a remarkable change of name. On the mountains north of the district there are large white letters that normally form the word Hollywood, but on the first morning of the new year there appeared Holly Weed.

Local media speculate that one or more pranksters changed the name in the night to mess with the two o's and so to honor the new legalization of marijuana (weed) in California.

The police are doing in their own words 'investigating vandalism' on Mount Lee, where the letters are placed near a telecommunications center of the town.
