Hiker Trapped Under 320kg Boulder Rescued in Alaska
Kell Morris, 61, was on a hike in Alaska with his wife when he slipped and fell six meters down a rocky mountain ridge, getting pinned under a large boulder. His wife, Jo Roop, kept him conscious and called for help.
A Race Against Time
After unsuccessful attempts to move the boulder, Roop walked 300 meters to get reception and contact emergency services. With her past police experience, she provided precise GPS coordinates for the rescue team. After three hours, a helicopter rescue team arrived and freed Morris using airbags.
Following the ordeal, Morris spent two days in the hospital with minor injuries. He attributes his survival to luck and divine intervention, planning to stick to marked trails in the future.
Despite the scare, Morris is already planning another hike with his wife, grateful for his miraculous escape from the accident.
