Helicopter Crash near Italian Castle
All three occupants have tragically lost their lives in the crash. The area was engulfed in heavy mist at the time of the incident. Authorities are investigating the flight details of the helicopter. The Public Prosecutor's Office has seized the black box to determine the cause of the accident.
Despite the efforts of firefighters and rescue teams, they were unable to save the victims. The helicopter went down on the estate of Castelguelfo castle, a medieval mansion owned by the Rovagnati family, renowned founders of an Italian deli meat company.
The victims included the two pilots and 41-year-old Lorenzo Rovagnati, a family member. Lorenzo, who co-owned the company with his brother Ferruccio, leaves behind two children, with a third on the way. He typically commuted to the castle by helicopter from the company's headquarters in the province of Monza every Wednesday. The Rovagnati deli meat business was established in 1941 and gained prominence in the 1990s through extensive advertising campaigns on Italian television.
