Heavily burnt Spratje gets new home

kortrijk - The severely abused kitten Sprotje finally gets a new home after three months of rehabilitation. The young creature was brought to a veterinarian at the beginning of June after being put in a hot oven by an animal hangman. Now that she can stand on her own feet again, it is time for a new owner.

Sprotje was not yet a year old when she was severely beaten up by a man from Kortrijk. Sprat would have spent fifteen minutes in a 200-degree oven. Miraculously, the kitten survived the abuse and ended up in veterinary practice Overleie.

She could no longer walk through the fire blisters on her legs, her skin died because of the severe burns. In order to finance the rehabilitation, the doctors started a crowdfunding campaign. There was a massive response to that call and eventually more than 11,000 euros were collected.
