tokyo - Replicas of a sword from the Harry Potter franchise have been recalled in Japan as they violate the country's weapon law.

Warner Bros. Studio Japan sold the swords from May 2023 to April 2024. Last month, it was discovered that the replica weapons were too sharp. Buyers of the sword are being urged by Warner Bros. Studios Japan to contact them to receive instructions on how to return the sword.

It is reported that more than 350 pieces of the 86-centimeter-long sword were sold in Japan. The selling price of the sword was 30,000 yen, approximately 185 euros each. Japan's strict weapon law prohibits the carrying of knives longer than 6 centimeters, with penalties of up to two years in prison for violators.
