berlin - Asylum applications are poorly investigated in Germany. For example, the identity of the applicant is barely checked and poorly maintained or asylum seekers can return to their own country. This appears from an internal document of the German immigration service that the newspaper Die Welt has.
From writing it appears that in most cases the identity is not checked. 'Anyone who declares to be Syrian in writing is Syrian. 'Even if there are clear indications for another nationality, nothing is checked. Some of the asylum seekers simply have the Turkish nationality according to the letter.
The asylum service is heavily overloaded according to the document. As a result, only about four hundred asylum seekers were withdrawn. The service warns that the defects in the handling of applications play criminal gangs.
