Hamas Releases New Video of Israeli Hostages in Gaza

Hamas circulated a video showcasing Israeli captives Yosef-Haim Ohana and Elkana Bohbot, expressing concerns over their conditions and pleading for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict.

Hostages' Plea for Ceasefire

Ohana, identified as prisoner number 21, voiced distress over the situation, while Bohbot revealed attempts to self-harm. The video concludes with a countdown clock and a message emphasizing the need for a ceasefire to secure their release.

Families Demand Action

The Hostages Forum, representing families of captives, called for more government intervention. Protests in Tel Aviv criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu's stance on negotiations, accusing the government of disregarding public opinion.

Ongoing Hostage Situation

Following the October 7, 2023, abduction of 251 individuals by Hamas, 58 hostages remain in Gaza, with an estimated 34 fatalities among them.
