- Many chargers with USB connection no good. That concludes the Dutch Food Safety Authority (NVWA) on Tuesday banned the sale of 24 different chargers.

NVWA investigated this spring 41 USB chargers, of which more than half was found not to meet the requirements. Another twelve chargers did meet the technical requirements, but it lacked technical documentation.

NVWA started the investigation after several complaints about unsafe USB chargers. The watchdog investigated include electrical safety of especially the type USB charger 230V.
