Growth owned smartphones and tablets stopped

- Growth in possession of smartphones, tablets, e-readers, laptops and smart TVs under Dutch stopped. In the second half of 2015 the number of owners of these devices has remained the same compared to last spring. This is evident from the survey " GfK trends in digital media.

The research provides insight into the ownership and usage of mobile devices and digital media. 65 percent of the Dutch population aged 13 years and older is in possession of a tablet. These are 8.6 million Dutch. Last spring, the number of tablet owners still increased slightly from 61 percent in December 2014 to 65 percent in June 2015.The number of Dutch that smartphone ownership remains with 10.6 million (80 percent) remained stable compared with the spring. 55 percent of the elderly have a smartphone. Among those aged between 13 and 17 years, owns a 93 percent smartphone.Smart TVNearly 4.5 million Dutch now have a smart television (34 percent). Over three quarters of owners (78 percent) use the additional features of this handset. Almost half do so once a week or more.The interest in smart watches decreases. In December 2014 was 17 percent sure of a plan to purchase a copy, a year later this was only 7 percent.
