Group of tourists undercooled in Alps, part traveling party died

geneva - At least four people were killed in the Swiss Alps. They had been forced to spend the night in the open air, reports the police in the Valais canton.

Rescue workers found a total of fourteen people traveling around the slopes. They suffered from the frosty temperatures in some cases with undercooling phenomena. Certainly one of the victims probably died from a crash.

The emergency services used helicopters to transfer victims to hospitals in the area. Five people are in bad shape. The victims are known to Germans, French and Italians.
