brussels - The Grand Place in Brussels has been evacuated Friday. This is done at the request of the federal crisis center.
Eyewitnesses report that police with bomb-sniffing dogs searching the terraces. There are no details given about the nature of the threat.
Friday was the annual St. Verhaegen commemoration will be held in Brussels, where the founder of the university of Brussels is commemorated. That celebration was canceled due to the threat, reports Het Laatste Nieuws.
