- Google has removed some special months and days targeted by President Trump's administration from its calendar app.

Google Removes Special Months and Days from Calendar App

Google has eliminated special months and days such as 'Black History Month', 'National Hispanic Heritage Month', 'National American Indian Heritage Month', 'Pride Month', and 'Holocaust Remembrance Day' from its calendar app. The changes were planned last year as part of streamlining the calendar with only national holidays and days by default. Users can individually add desired special days to their calendars. The move comes following President Trump's executive order to end DEI programs aiming for a fairer and more equal environment in workplaces and schools. Google had previously changed the name of 'Mexico Gulf' to 'America Gulf' in its Maps app in response to a decree by Trump.
