Google Maps gets more offline options

- Offline capabilities of Google Maps for iOS and Android in the coming period to be extended. First come enhanced functionality for Android users, iOS later turn.

For example, users after updating to find the way to their destination, even if they have no Internet connection. The offline mode was already limited to Maps for Android ; that function is now improved. This allows people to navigate from door to door without an active Internet connection, and to find information about places.

Users need to have to download maps of the area where they are. They can do so via a wifi connection. If they then come somewhere where there is no mobile internet or WiFi, the app switches to offline mode.

Google does not report on exactly when the update is available for Android and iOS when owners get him.
