Google Maps can no longer book Uber

mountain view - It is no longer possible to book a ride with Uber directly via Google Maps. The option has disappeared, the website Android Police discovered. It is not known whether the change has been made by Google or Uber and what the reason is. It is still possible to book with an intermediate step, via the Uber app.

Google had announced the option in early 2017. Users could enter a destination in Google Maps, calculate the route, compare driver prices, reserve a car and pay for the journey, without having to leave Maps.
