While users in the US will see the name as America Gulf, users in Mexico will continue to see it as Mexico Gulf. Users in other countries will see both names.

America Gulf Name Controversy

Trump issued an order on January 20 at the White House to change the name of the Mexico Gulf to America Gulf. The statement in the order mentioned, "President Trump brings common sense to the government and revitalizes the foundations of American civilization." Google's statement highlighted their long-standing practice of implementing updated name changes from official state sources. The announcement stated that following Trump's directive, the name of Mexico Gulf will be changed to America Gulf, and the name of Denali Mountain in Alaska will be changed to McKinley.
