Gmail on iOS warns of phishing

Tech August 14, 2017 10:15

mountain view - Google has made the Gmail app for iOS users somewhat safer. Anyone who clicks on a suspicious link will first see a popup with a warning.

The warning is not always the same. If Google is sure that the link sends you to a malicious website, you will not be able to continue the mandatory request. If Google suspects a website of suspicious activities, you will get a slightly less advised opinion. If, despite the filter, you still encounter suspicious links that are not captured by Google, you can pass it through a special address to the techie.

In May, Google already started with the harder approach to phishing in the mobile version of popular mail service, but initially, the filter only worked in the Android version of the Gmail app.
