paris - Gisèle Pelicot, a victim in a large rape case, addresses her ex-husband in court, expressing her confusion and betrayal by his actions.

Gisèle Pelicot, a victim in a large rape case, is still trying to understand what drove her ex-husband to betray her. In court, she addressed her ex-husband, recalling the years they spent together and questioning his actions. Pelicot was present during the screening of rape recordings made by her ex-husband, the main suspect in the case. Eight weeks after her initial testimony, she finds herself speaking in court once again.

She questioned how her ex-husband could have allowed strangers into their bedroom, feeling a deep sense of betrayal. Pelicot expressed her devastation and struggle to cope, encouraging other victims to speak out against sexual abuse.

Throughout the trial, Pelicot became a symbol in the fight against drug-facilitated sexual abuse. Her lawyer emphasized the importance of her testimony in shaping public perception and understanding the case.

In a conversation with France Bleu, Pelicot's lawyer mentioned her need to speak out amid disturbing and shocking revelations during the trial. Of the fifty co-defendants, many claim innocence, blaming manipulation and coercion by Dominique Pelicot.

The verdict in this high-profile case is expected to be announced around December 20th.
