Girl (12) is accidentally half marathon

rochester - LeeAdianez Rodríguez thought Sunday that she was late for the start of the 5 kilometers in the American city of Rochester. But when they came at the start, she saw that there were still people waiting at the starting line and she left with that group.

What did not know the 12-year-old girl, was that they were not with the runners of five kilometers, but which was launched for the half marathon (21.1 km).

Her mother was also worried sick when Lee, as the girl is called, do not finish in the first group. Until more than two hours later they came in. 'They have huge scare me,' said her mother against
Democrat amp; Chronicle.

Warned the police came after there was an hour behind Lee with the wrong group left and that she was still running. In its last kilometers agents spoke with the girl, but she indicated that she wanted to walk out of the race.

It was only the second time that Lee would run 5,000 kilometers. Instead, she walked around the 21.1 kilometers in a time of 2 hours, 43 minutes and 31 seconds. She was 1885ste of the 2111 people who finished. Five other 12-year-olds and one 7-year-old took part in the race.
