hamburg - Justice in Germany investigating whether the European top driver of Facebook, Martin Ott, has been complicit sedition. The social media company has failed possibly under his leadership to remove racist and hateful messages.
The public prosecutor in Hamburg, where Ott holds office, which is Tuesday. A spokeswoman stressed that it must first be determined whether there is indeed punishable manifestations, and how long have stood exactly on Facebook. Then considers whether Ott is to blame.
The immediate reason for the judicial inquiry into Facebook is the refugee crisis. Many prominent Germans spoke recently expressed their concern about the harsh tone of the discussions on social media. Against three other managers of the company is already under investigation.
