berlin, germany - Friedrich Merz, a prominent figure in the German conservative party, proposes stricter migration policies following recent violent attacks.

German Conservative Politician Friedrich Merz Urges for Tightening Migration Policies

Merz, along with his conservative parliamentary faction of CDU and CSU, aims to toughen the migration policy, seeking approval regardless of political alliances.

Despite reservations from other parties about cooperating with the far-right AfD, Merz pushes for a stricter approach in light of recent events.

Merz is considered a frontrunner for the upcoming elections on February 23 to become the country's leader.

In a recent tragic incident in Aschaffenburg, a 28-year-old Afghan man, previously rejected for asylum in Germany, carried out a deadly attack, resulting in the loss of a two-year-old child and a 41-year-old man who tried to protect other children.

Another violent incident took place at a Christmas market, where a man from Saudi Arabia drove his car through the crowd, causing a massacre.
