london - The British molecular biologist and Nobel laureate who is known for his groundbreaking work in research into the human genome, Sir John Edward Sulston, died at the age of 75.

In 2002, the scientist received the Nobel Prize for Medicine shared by others for their discoveries in research into the development of organisms, including the discovery of a worm of what is called 'programmed cell death'.

According to the BBC Friday, the death of the scientist from Cambrigde was communicated by the Sanger Institute, about which Sulston was in charge for a long time.
