FTC tap D-link on the fingers to safety

los angeles - The FTC, the US Government which include commitment to consumers, the maker of network equipment D-Link reprimanded. The company took according to the FTC insufficient safeguards to protect consumers against attackers.

D-link has failed, in the opinion of the FTC to properly secure routers and IP cameras. Therefore could leak sensitive information from users. 'If companies tell consumers that their equipment is safe, it is important that they take the necessary steps to make sure that's true, '' said Jessica Rich of the FTC.

The errors D-Link has made include storing credentials in the mobile app without encryption and draining an encryption code that attackers can wreak a lot of damage.
