- Police officers in France may carry their service weapons in their free time during the state of emergency declared. Then they can out of service if necessary to protect civilians, said police spokesman Jerome Bonnet.
The officers, however, may not be out of service secretly carry their weapon. Armed they should be identified by a bracelet as an agent.
