new york - Fox News colleagues raised concerns about Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump's choice for Secretary of Defense, allegedly drinking on the job. The claims have been denied as unfounded and false by Trump's transition team.

Pete Hegseth, the incoming president Donald Trump's choice for Secretary of Defense, is under fire for allegedly drinking on the job, as reported by NBC News. Colleagues at Fox News expressed concerns about Hegseth's behavior, claiming to have smelled alcohol on him multiple times before going on air during his time as co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend in 2017. Additionally, some colleagues stated that they heard him talk about having a hangover while preparing for shows or being on set.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham described the accusations against Hegseth as "disturbing" and "difficult to defend" in an interview with CBS News. Hegseth's nomination is yet to be confirmed by the Senate.

In other news, President Trump has reportedly offered a senior position at the Department of Defense to billionaire Stephen Feinberg, according to The Washington Post. However, Feinberg's spokesperson did not confirm whether he has accepted the offer.
