Fountains Rome spruced saving grace as riots

rome - Dutch restaurateurs in Rome began restoration work on two historic fountains. By a Dutch association founded in Rome has raised money for the restoration and also made donations in the Netherlands itself. It is a saving grace for the misconduct of Feyenoord fans which caused damage in 2015 in the Italian capital, around the match against AS Roma.

The famous seventeenth-century Barcacciafontein the Spanish Steps was damaged by the riots. So were scratched due beer bottles and other garbage that was thrown into it. Rome has repaired the damage.

In order to make a gesture, two other fountains are chosen for a makeover worth about 20 000. Restauratiebedrijf Koninklijke Woudenberg and SALVIAMO La Barcaccia, the club 'Roman Dutch' that initiated the action, letting it know Wednesday.

The fountains that will be tackled are the Bees Fountain (Fontana delle Api) and the Fontana dei Giardini.
