Fossil of 184 million year old mammalian discovered

austin - A 184 million year old fossil was discovered in the United States. The remains are from a female mammalian beast. At the discovery 38 offspring were also found. Presumably all 38 offspring are from the same litter.

In terms of reproduction, however, the Kayentatherium wellesi looks more like the reptiles as we now know: the animal lays eggs. In addition, the Kayentatherium wellesi presumably had the size of a medium-sized dog.
