A source around the Palin family said to CNN 'out of respect for McCain and his family' not to respond. Palin was McCain's vice-presidential candidate in 2008 when he took on Democrat Barack Obama, who eventually won the presidential election. McCain later made it clear that he had regretted his choice for Palin.

Also the American president Donald Trump is not expected this weekend at the funeral of his party member. 'There are two names that are not on the guest list: Trump and Palin', says an initiate against People magazine.
