Toronto FC has confirmed the departure of forward Federico Bernardeschi, who joined from Juventus in 2022 as a designated player. The MLS club used one of its buyouts on his contract.

Reason for Departure

After internal discussions, Toronto FC and Bernardeschi mutually agreed to part ways. General manager Jason Hernandez expressed gratitude for Bernardeschi's contributions during his three-year tenure.

Career Highlights

Bernardeschi played 134 games for Juventus, scoring eight goals and providing 15 assists. He earned 39 senior caps for Italy and was part of the Euro 2020-winning team.

MLS Performance

In his four-year stint with Toronto FC, Bernardeschi scored 25 goals and provided 12 assists in 88 appearances. This season, he registered four goals and four assists in 15 MLS matches.
