Former German President Roman Herzog (82) death

berlin - The former German President Roman Herzog is deceased at the age of 82. That the office of the current President Joachim Gauck confirmed Tuesday.

Herzog was a member of the Christian Democratic CDU. He was from 1994 to 1999 President of the Federal Republic. Previously he was Minister of Education and Science of Germany and Minister for Home Affairs in Baden-Wurttemberg. He was also a member of the Constitutional Court.
