Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan Delivers Critical Messages at G20 Meeting

During the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Johannesburg, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized the importance of a two-state solution for lasting peace.

Fidan highlighted the prolonged conflicts in today's world, the challenges faced by humanitarian aid systems, and the global vulnerabilities caused by economic disruptions. He also mentioned the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics that are reshaping our world.

Regarding the situation in Palestine, Fidan stressed that the two-state solution remains the only way to achieve lasting peace and that neglecting this solution will only perpetuate the cycle of conflict.

Speaking about recent developments in Syria, Fidan expressed optimism and called for the unconditional lifting of sanctions to facilitate the country's recovery.

On the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Fidan underlined the importance of diplomacy as the sole way forward and reiterated Turkey's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
