For weeks backups to French border

- Dutch motorists and truckers who travel to and from France, have for weeks to take into account traffic jams. According to the Traffic Information Service (VID) to the French border checks continue until at least the end of the climate conference in Paris next month.

Carl Decaluwé, provincial capital of West Flanders, Belgian media said that border controls will still take until at least December 11th. That's bad news for drivers of Dutch transport companies which in recent days has often before the French border have been stuck in traffic. Wednesday was again busy. The longest backups of 20 kilometers stood between Luxembourg and France.

The VID signals an increase in the number of border control. Also, intensify checks on local roads. In the Netherlands there are still no major border controls. However, the number of checks is due to the increased flow of refugees higher than usual. So the military police controlled traffic Wednesday in several places in Germany. On the A12 near Arnhem on Wednesday led to long traffic jams.
