Images from X show a swirling river, flooded streets, and cars half-submerged in water. Météo Express stated that 50 to 80 millimeters of rain fell in the area within an hour.

The situation is also severe in the popular resort town of Saint-Tropez.

Near Cannes, another coastal town on the Mediterranean, the situation is precarious in Saint-Cezaire-sur-Siagne, according to the weather forecaster Nice Météo 06 on X. Numerous rescue operations are reportedly underway. Nice Météo reported 94 millimeters of rain falling in the area within three hours.

In the municipality of Fréjus, close to Saint-Raphaël, residents of the Argens plain, an agricultural region, received an evacuation order, as stated by the local authorities on X.
