A few months ago, German intelligence agencies warned about the shipment of 'unconventional fire hazardous devices' by unknown individuals through cargo carriers. This warning was linked to an incident at the DHL Leipzig logistics center, which serves as the company's global hub.
Lithuanian police chief Arunas Paulauskas speculated that the most probable cause on Monday was technical malfunctions or human error. The aircraft was carrying four people, one of whom was killed.
