rio de janeiro - The fire on the training complex of football club Flamengo, which killed ten young footballers, was caused by a peak in the electricity supply.
This caused fire in the air conditioning. According to director Reinaldo Belotti, the fluctuations in electricity were caused by a severe storm that drove Rio de Janeiro that day and caused six deaths elsewhere in the city.
