la paz, bolivia - Five people, including a child, survive 36 hours in a crocodile-filled marsh after a plane crash in Bolivia's Amazon region. They were rescued and taken to the hospital in good condition.

Survival Story: Plane Crash in Bolivia

Five individuals, including a child, endured a harrowing 36-hour ordeal in a marsh teeming with crocodiles following a plane crash in Bolivia's Amazon area. The group, comprised of three women, a child, and the 29-year-old pilot, faced imminent danger as they awaited rescue.

Details of the Incident

The aircraft was en route from Baures to Trinidad, a distance of 180 kilometers, when it began losing altitude. Pilot Pablo Andrés Velarde executed an emergency landing in the marsh near a lagoon, where crocodiles lurked dangerously close.

The pilot speculated that leaking kerosene from the plane may have kept the animals at bay. Additionally, the group sustained themselves by consuming cassava flour brought by one of the passengers, as they had no access to drinking water.

Rescue and Condition

The five survivors were rescued on Friday and transported by boat to a hospital. Despite the challenging circumstances, they were reported to be in good health, according to local authorities.
