bangkok, thailand - A fire broke out in a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, resulting in the death of 3 tourists and injuries of 7 people. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

A fire broke out in a hotel in Khaosan, a tourist area in Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday around 9:30 PM local time for unknown reasons. The fire started on the 5th floor of the six-story hotel building, causing panic among dozens of people in the cafe on the top floor.

The fire brigade, struggling to reach the hotel located in a narrow street in a crowded area, intervened in the flames inside the building, rescuing a group trapped on the roof.

One Brazilian tourist lost their life at the scene, while an injured US citizen and a Ukrainian national succumbed to their injuries at the hospital where they were taken. 34 people were rescued from the roof, and 7 injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, who arrived at the scene and conducted inspections, expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Chadchart stated that there were 75 registered guests in the hotel, but it is still unknown how many people were inside during the fire. He also mentioned that investigations regarding the cause of the fire and the safety of the hotel have been initiated.
